Mr. Campbell is a graduate of Lakeland High and Harrison School for the Arts, where he majored in piano performance.  He went on to attend the University of South Florida in Tampa where he earned a B.S. in English Education and minored in Political Science.  Mr. Campbell also holds a Master's degree in Music Education from Boston University.

While at USF, Mr. Campbell studied abroad in London and Paris, were he studied local governments and urban planning.  Of course, this trip also included seeing all of the major landmarks and historic sites in these unforgettable cities.  He continues to travel whenever possible.

Mr. Campbell was honored to receive the Beginning English Teacher of the Year award from the Polk County Council for Teachers of English.  He is also the inaugural recipient of the USF College of Education Young Educator Alumni Award.

He has also received numerous recognitions from both the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center and Straz Center for his Musical Direction and Conducting of such shows as ​The Wiz, The Little Mermaid​, Newsies​, Winesburg, Ohio, and ​Bright Star.

Outside of school, Mr. Campbell is involved in many musical endeavours, both at Lakeland and Harrison, and at other schools.  He is also involved with productions at Lakeland Community Theatre, Theatre Winter Haven, and Polk State College where he music directs and is occasionally on stage.
